TRUTH HAS PREVAILED FOR THE GOUNDAR SIBLINGS

In 2015, a property dispute ensued between Auckland, New Zealand residents Nalina and Regina Goundar, representing one party, and plaintiffs Kulbushan and Jeevan Joshi from Wellington, New Zealand, on the other. To prevent an unauthorized property sale by the Joshi family, the Goundar siblings rightfully lodged a caveat on the property in question. Subsequently, the Joshi family sought to have this caveat removed through legal proceedings in the High Court of Auckland, but their efforts proved unsuccessful.

The pivotal caveat hearing was scheduled for October 2015, culminating in a judgment rendered on November 13, 2015, decidedly favoring the Goundar siblings, thus preserving the caveat and safeguarding their interest.

Adding a layer of complexity to the dispute, the Joshi family employed a strategic maneuver in their legal battle by implicating Shalendra Goundar, another sibling and the proprietor of a licensed real estate business. Intriguingly, Shalendra Goundar had no vested interest in the property sale. The Joshi family, perhaps in an attempt to compel the Goundar sisters into removing the caveat and bypassing the high court trial, pursued this course of action.

Nonetheless, in 2018, the Goundar siblings took the Joshi family to the High Court of Auckland for a three-day trial. Once more, the judgment resoundingly favored the Goundar siblings, as it was handed down on July 25, 2018.
